It is difficult to give an opinion about the conflict in the Gaza Strip when you're away from that reality. However, according to what you hear on the news, is known to be a war with great loss of human lives and material losses.
A military solution is no solution and this has been proven through the years. Generally, there is inequality between the parties involved in the conflict and military alliances with other countries increases inequality.
It would be great to have the opportunity to review the origins of the conflict and establish a peaceful solution.

  2. The confrontation between Israelis and Palestinians is very complex and generates a lot of polarization. I'm not a great student of these processes from the East, but I do believe that the Palestinian people (supposedly for their religious views) has been denigrated by the major world powers (first by Britain and now by Israel with the support of the United States).

The story seems to begin when the early twentieth century took force the Zionist movement to establish a state for the Jews. Since 1948, after the Second World War, the first Arab-Israeli conflict occurred and the territory for the Arab state is reduced to half of what it had established the United Nations is given. At that time 75,000 Palestinians were expelled or fled from its territory. The wars continued and in 1967, during the Six Day War, more than half a million Palestinians fled. Since then, Israel has control over Gaza, is locked by air, sea and land, which restricts the free movement of goods, services and people.

A universal principle is that people should make their own decisions and must be respected by all other people if they do not act against human rights. Israel does not like it very wisely and with much effort, the forces of the Hamas and al Fatah, announced in June this year a unity government for Palestine. At that time he started a new escalation of violence between these peoples.

The vision of the author of the article is very biased and even cynical. Forget that USA and Israel are militarily allied nations; Israel receives a strong support from USA, most of which is to subsidize the purchase of weapons. If it is true, Hamas launched rockets at Israel, the latter also fired rockets over territory crammed into Gaza killing hundreds of civilians. Until Monday August 4, 1717 Palestinians and 67 Israelis were killed. Of all the Palestinian victims, 1176 were civilians (including 377 children and 196 women). On the Israeli side, 64 soldiers and 3 civilians were. This situation is a balance of forces like David and Goliath.

That's five decades of occupation. I think Israel has only managed this situation a black mark on its history. It is Israel that has forced the Palestinians to live in squalor and hopeless, that has made them more determined to fight against the occupation for a life of dignity and freedom.

  3. Arab-Israel’s conflict began many many years ago and it’s a long story, but from 1948 with the creation of the Estate of Israel the problem raised and the conflict between these two people have turned in a massacre of Gazan citizens and lots of Israel people because of the mistakes and horrors made for both parts. That bad handling of the situation produce a “chain reaction” that turn worst and worst and it’s too much difficult to solve it.
Later than some wars like six day war for example Israelis have oppressed de Gaza and Cisjordanian people reducing their land to almost nothing and they make restrictions of food services and movement.
There are many sources of information, but many are partial in each side, so you have to find and analyze the information. In case of the article they show points against each part and I totally agree with the fact that Hamas is sacrificing its people in a way where the violence is not the solution, the time of this conflict say that! Violence is not bringing the solution, but they insist in dare Israel and they accepts this
The Israelis with the association of the United States that supports weapons and technology take advantage of the inferiority ( army technology and soldiers) of Palestinians, but at the end civilians of both sides ,they are who suffer this atrocity.
I hope someday soon they started to think one think: Both peoples can exist! In that point they could negotiate an end to this disastrous conflict.

  4. It's sad the situation that occurs in this place. There are involved a lot of innocent civilians, including children.
The information comes to us only from large news companies who communicate us what is happening, however we have not a very clear perspective.
The conflict between these countries comes from many years ago; there have been many years of war, where international agencies unfortunately could not intervene to stop the fire. Every day many civilians have killed on both sides of the conflict.
Hamas does not think about protecting the people of Gaza, they only think about their goal that is to eliminate the Israelites, and not to recover the territory gradually lost. In addition, a large amount of money is invested on weapons and war equipment instead of invest it in infrastructure or items that benefit their habitants.
Egypt was one of the actors who have tried to intervene on several occasions in this conflict, however in recent months the internal conflicts in the country have not permitted to focus in the intervention. They have tried to make arrangements to stop the violence, but the interest of some sectors are more important that the benefits of the society.

Unfortunately, places like schools and hospitals, with many innocent people, are taken to establish operation centers, causing a several number of troubles with civilians who are in these places.

The main goal, as some experts say, is to eliminate the population of the enemy, so I consider that the only way to achieve a ceasefire is by the mediation of international organizations who have the tools and the power necessary to finish the war.

In this situation it is not visible any positive situation, only negative consequences.

  5. In a war, the worse thing is the millions of millions of innocent deadly human they cause.

Also, there a big winner, those persons are involved in war weapons factories.

There will be personas interested this war continues because in this way they could continue selling their products.

That’s better invested this money to reconstruct cities, human’s health and education for example.

In this case their problem is they are not agreed to each other. And everyone wants their thoughts are the best ones.

If everyone would accept their agreements this war would end, but nobody wants it.

This war is about a little piece of territory, I think it is possible to divide it in two similar parts, and give one of then to whom are in war.

Another, fact is the interference of others countries, only in order to help one of the parts, but behind this help we will see the true intent, to acquire power over another ones.

As the lecture says, ten years is too much time, they must turn back and see all destruction and deadly they caused and all money they had spent and begin to think how they could reach the peace. Or, establish a war against the world hunger or global diseases.

If everyone of us put a little together we would make the difference.

  6. It's difficult to have an opinion about this conflict, since I can remember we all hear the news of the bombing in Gaza, the war between Israel and Hamas and like the article said force didn't make a change, the war ends and begins all over again, it is a cycle so what can we do about ir??? First I think we don't need to choose a side where some country is guilty and the other is the poor victim, the world isn't guide in black or white; for a fight happens it takes two, if one of them doesn't want to fight the fight ends eventually; I supposed in a war (that have different interests behind) is more complicated than that but is a simply assumption.

The article mentioned the ways the author thinks this war can be solve and I agree with all of that. There are no positive implications in the conflict right now, when it ends with a good resolution of both sides then there will be positive implications for the gazans and the israelites, the war ends so no more deaths, the reconstruction of the city and the other things they negociated like the airport and the flow of commerce across bordes and sea. The negative implication is the death of all the people involve, innocent or not innocent, if a person died in a war is sad for someone, and eventually the first right we all have is the right to live.

  7. The conflict in Gaza is very very old. Today the name is Gaza and Hamas. But centuries and centuries of belic conflicts is the reality of the people in this place.
Why has the conflict its root in religions believes? In one side it is Israel the town of God in the other side are the Muslims. Who has the reason? Who has the right to possess that piece of land? Only God knows…
The people focus their believes in this Earth forgetting that the Promised Land is in the deep of our soul. Is it religious fanatic? Is it a war of power? Is it the necessity of show supremacy against the other believes? I do not know. But I am totally sure that this war does not deserve all those lives. Innocent lives of children, of old people, of women and men who has poor lives because those thousands years of conflict
Is that justice? No, of course not. Is God permitting this conflict? Of course not. I think we create our path in this life… and for some fanatic people it is the perfect excuse to own the power, but it is an earthly power.
I am totally sure that that the thousands and thousands lives lost in this war are a waste of time for the people who encourage the conflict.
The difficult part of this is that the war is a business and the people, who live in this way, selling any kind of arms, are co-responsible of those horrible deaths.
Demilitarization, international aid, ONU interventions, reconstruction of the town. Every of these actions can work only if in the deep of each heart everyone has peace, tolerance and love.
